Poinsettia Bowl Online Auction Closes December 5

Auction The San Diego County Credit Union Poinsettia Bowl is currently running its inaugural online auction at www.PoinsettiaBowl.net.  It opened November 23rd, and closes Wednesday, December 5 at 11 a.m. PST.  A portion of the proceeds benefit the Make-A-Wish Foundation® of San Diego.  The Foundation has served as the bowl game’s beneficiary since the game’s inception in 2005.   Last year the bowl and title sponsor, San Diego County Credit Union, presented the local Make-A-Wish chapter with a check for $46,000. 

Auction items include university and professional sports memorabilia, trips, “behind-the-scenes” opportunities, and tickets to events and attractions.  Premier items include tickets to a taping of American Idol, a trip for four to Monterey to play at a Pebble Beach golf course, and a trip to the 2008 Army-Navy football game

The San Diego County Credit Union Poinsettia Bowl kicks off at 6 p.m., Thursday, December 20.  The game will feature the United States Naval Academy Midshipmen against a team from the Mountain West Conference.  Navy’s opponent will be named December 2nd.  For tickets and information, visit www.PoinsettiaBowl.net.
