Due to an overwhelming response, registration has closed for the 2nd annual Kaiser Permanente NCAA Football Clinic, a San Diego County Credit Union Poinsettia Bowl production.

A record number of 800 youngsters registered, filling all of the available spots for the event scheduled for July 30th, 8:00am - noon at the Qualcomm Stadium rugby fields. The San Diego County Credit Union Poinsettia Bowl event is a free football clinic for youth ages 6-14.

“We are thrilled by the outstanding turnout of youngsters for the clinic” said 2011 Bowl President Chuck Wasker. “Over twenty of these clinics are produced in bowl cities across the country and we are proud to say for the second consecutive year, ours has the largest attendance.”

In addition to instruction and drills, the Kaiser Permanente NCAA Football Youth Clinic will feature a motivational speaker and a free lunch, courtesy of Chick-fil-A and PopChips.

The event is made possible by several bowl corporate partners: Kaiser Permanente, San Diego County Credit Union, Cox Communications, XX Sports Radio, San Diego Chargers, and San Diego Family Magazine.
