SDCCU Poinsettia Bowl Announces Bowl Week Schedule

Poinsettia BowlThe teams participating in the inaugural San Diego County Credit Union Poinsettia Bowl will spend the week practicing for the game, but will also find themselves touring San Diego area attractions.

Both teams will visit Miramar Speed Circuit on December 19 for an afternoon of kart racing and video games. On December 20, the U.S. Naval Academy Midshipmen will visit SeaWorld San Diego, while the Colorado State Rams will visit the World Famous San Diego Zoo. Later that day, players from both teams will spend time at Children's Hospital of San Diego to sign autographs and give out toys and memorabilia to children.

The day before the inaugural San Diego County Credit Union Poinsettia Bowl, the teams and fans will also enjoy a battle of the university bands on the pier at the USS Midway Museum. The players and coaches will also have a luncheon and will hear from former Notre Dame player Rudy Ruettiger, whose story was made famous in the movie "Rudy," before ending the day with a tour of the carrier.
