A San Diego tradition, back where it belongs
From 2005 to 2016 the SDCCU Poinsettia Bowl gave San Diego a second December bowl game and a reason to fill a stadium the week before Christmas. Sports San Diego, the nonprofit behind the Holiday Bowl since 1978, is bringing it back to Snapdragon Stadium with the same idea it started with: good football, a warm December, and a city that shows up.

Snapdragon Stadium
Opened in 2022 on the old Qualcomm site, Snapdragon seats 35,000 with the mesa and Mission Valley on every sightline. It is walkable from the Green Line trolley, ten minutes from the airport, and close enough to the beach that visiting fans can make a week of it.
